AREAS OF RESEARCH

Trained as an organizational theorist, my research aims to understand how organizations respond to internal and external demands/changes to enhance performance. I have developed three streams of research:

  • Learning and knowledge sharing:
    • I am interested in examining factors that influence individuals and organizations (not) to learn from failure and engage in knowledge sharing.
  • Competition and cooperation:
    • I explore how the tension between competition and cooperation affects innovation and performance. Particularly, I am interested in understanding the interplay of multipoint competition and strategic alliances in performance and innovation.
  • Movements, institutions, and organizations:
    • I am interested in understanding the micro-foundation of collective action that leads to institutional change in various context of organizations. Particularly, I am interested in how minorities take action to change workplace discrimination.
